Is The Bible Truly The Word Of God?

The Bible is the word of God
The Bible is the inspired word of God.
The suggestion that the Bible was written by the devil instead of being the word of God seems to be just one more challenge of the Christian belief structure.

Just the nature of such a futile debate suggests that the beliefs of our founding fathers, most leaders of our country, and millions of average citizens today are founded on evil and deceit rather than on any truth.

Common sense coupled with a little research will help us realize that most of us possess the same basic philosophy of the devil and that philosophy is surrounded by evil.
Since this inquiry is basically questioning the authenticity of the Bible, making reference to any teachings found in the Bible would be a total waste of time, so we will just look at other religious beliefs to attempt to get a general consensus regarding beliefs about the devil.

How does Islam view the devil?

In Islam the devil is referred to as "Iblis". The Qur'an or Koran teaches that the devil was created from fire rather than the dust of the earth, like man. Muslim's believe that Iblis was expelled by God for not honoring Adam as the father of mankind. Islam teaches that the devil has no power other than to bring evil thoughts and suggestions in the hearts of mankind.

The devil according to Judaism

The Torah does not teach the same concept of the devil as found in Christianity or even Islam. In Judaism the devil has no real powers unless we humans do evil things, then "ha-satan" points out the evil things to God.

The devil as seen through the eyes of a Christian

Most Christian beliefs teach that the devil or satan was an angel who rebelled against God and was condemned to the Lake of Fire. Bible scholars believe that the term "Lucifer" mentioned in the book of Isaiah was not a reference to the devil but a Babylonian king.

It is very interesting to note that Christianity, Judaism and Islam all agree that there is some relationship between God and the devil. The devil either causes people to do evil things, think evil thoughts or makes evil things known to God.

If the devil were to write a book, any rational person would be correct in thinking that book would concentrate on promoting evil and not good, which would be in total contradiction to the teachings of the Bible.

It is certain that even the devil believes in God, a belief shared by Christians, Jews and Muslims. There aren't many people left to believe otherwise and they obviously would be in a very slim minority.

Believing that the Bible is a work of the devil would be similar to going swimming in the middle of a shark feeding frenzy; it would make life exciting and interesting, but there would surely be serious consequences.
